I grinned like an idiot while reading this book. The characters and their banter was so cute. I thought the whole story was adorable. Seeing them change from the beginning was great, I love when opposites attract. I really don't have anything negative to say about the book. It was a sweet, Christian romance that starts off a series that I can't wait to read more from. I loved all the characters and can't wait to see them all find their own HEA.

Second Chance with the Hero is such a sweet, Christian romance. I read it quickly, the pace was fast, but I think it worked really well for the story.

I usually don't care for some of the tropes in this book, but the way they were done I found enjoyable. I instantly fell in love with the characters and couldn't wait to see how this book played out. Their story was so cute.

The Christmas theme was light, in my opinion, but it was present enough for me not to complain. I think I would have enjoyed just a bit more Christmas mixed in and then the book would have been 5 stars.

Overall, I greatly enjoyed this book and think it is a great addition to the Heroes of Freedom Ridge series.

This book, even though it did tackle grief and moving on after losing a loved one, was a lot of fun to read. I laughed throughout the whole book. Being an introvert, I was able to relate to Cassie, especially about not wanting to talk on the phone! That's an introverts worse fear right there. I did enjoy getting to see her pushed out of her element and experience more than just the comfort of sitting at home in sweat pants. Was it worth it? For her, probably. Everyone else? Probably not.
I loved seeing the friendship between the two characters slowly turn into more. They have always known and loved each other, which is why they struggled so much at first. But, somehow, this added to the humor of the story. They are total opposites, but they understand each other, and I really liked that. They just felt so right for each other. I honestly couldn't imagine them with anyone else.
The story was a quick read, but it was still really good. I didn't read any of the other books from the series before reading this one. I heard it was a standalone, so I gave it a try because it sounded really good. I plan to check out the other books in the series when I have the chance.
