I almost like this movie. It's weird, and it leans into it's own dumbness (possibly not intentionally). But the third act is boring, and the dialog is so bad.

Half star for the delightful and ridiculously gratuitous soft-porn scenes. Interesting technique for quieting a restive infant for all you new dads and moms offered early on in "The Devil's Nightmare" (what would the devil's nightmare be, really? Waking up thinking he was holding a winning Powerball ticket? Streaming Dora Hall music drowning out the cries of the harrowed and hopeless? What a crap film).

Four teenage friends stay out all night.
C (Indifferent).
I can see how it's a classic; it's an extremely imitated movie. A few of those imitations are even good movies. But I don't get the appeal of this one. Is it a nostalgia thing? (Nostalgia for what was only 10 years ago when this came out? It's weird, having grown up in the 90's when everything was Boomer Nostalgia 24/7, to realize pop culture could be nostalgic for something so recent.)
