Joan Shaddox Isom

I consider this to be an adult Christmas story that once read, you may then decide if you want to share it as a read aloud with your family or share with older children as a "growing-up" story. There are some issues and ideas which may not resonate with everyone. I did enjoy the book and the historical setting during the Depression Era.
