Delta James

Okay, so this isn't my typical kind of book. But there was just something about the way the description was written and the cover that drew me in. Plus, Delta James is fantastic and I'm a huge fan! And I am so happy that I did! Because this was a really great book. This is the third book in this series, but they can all be read as standalone books. This is actually the third book in the series but I have since gone back and also read the first two! While they are all fantastic so far, I think this one is my favorite.

I just really liked Anabella. She was feisty and sweet and she was no typical damsel in distress. And the way that she was able to drive Coop crazy made me crack up on more than one occasion. Coop was such a strong and fearless character that it was fantastic to see a strong female character come into the picture and be able to test his patience! Delta James knows how to create characters that you fall for and a plot that pulls you in.

So I actually read the third book in this series first, as they can all be read as standalone novels. But I liked it so much that I immediately read this one and the second one right after. While I really loved this book and definitely recommend it, I didn't feel like there was as much action in this one as I expected there to be. And maybe that's on me, for reading the third one first. Because this one is the one that establishes the characters in this series.

But the characters were really great. Samantha and Kingston definitely aren't lacking in the chemistry department and things between them get really steamy, real quick. As in, you may need to have a fan ready when you're reading this one. The plot of Samantha being an author with a stalker was definitely spine-tingling. It was chilling and Delta James did a great job presenting the kinds of emotions that this caused Samantha to experience.

MY VAMPIRE by Tami Lund: Allow about two and a half hours for this adult paranormal romantic comedy with a mystery, but do NOT read it in public as chortles will ensue.

THE SCARLET ORDER by JC Brown: Allow two hours for this paranormal coming-of-age short story set in Thistle Crow.

DRAGON DESIRE by Lilliana Rose: Allow two and a half hours for this NC17 forbidden-love paranormal set in Australia.

JAGGER THE AWAKENING by Charmaine Louise Shelton: I think this one took about ninety minutes (notes were lost in a computer crash) and it is an adult forbidden-mate paranormal coming-of-age set in the Everglades.

THE ICE DRAGON'S MATE by Kaylin Peyerk: Allow two and a half hours for this NC17 paranormal supernatural mystery romance set in New York City in the summer.

GIFT OF AIR by C.L. Carhart: Allow a long afternoon for this NC17 Teutonic paranormal coming-of-age forbidden romance set in the Tyrol of Austria nonlinearly from Christmas 1954 to midsummer 1955.

ASCENSION by S.A. Clayton: Allow about two and a half hours for this adult paranormal about Amelia O'Connor evading the wicked plans of her father.
