Carly comes to put a job application in for ranch hand at Findlay Farms. Archie finds her and her stuck car and decides to hire her as his assistant. Robinson Ranch wants to buy out Findlay Farms, but the Findlay family won't sell. Carly helps organize the party for the ranch and secrets come out. Can Carly stay? Will Archie throw her out?

I enjoyed this read. It could have been longer to develop characters and plot. I liked Carly. I also liked Archie and I enjoyed how his older brother ragged on him. They were a typical family. There was no hint of Carly having a secret throughout the story. I was surprised when it came up. I was glad of how it all worked out.

I enjoyed this enough to want to read the rest of the series.… (mehr)

Tessa is the maid-of-honor at her sister's wedding. Derrick is a bartender at the hotel. She has to clean up the party room after the bachelorette party. Trying to carry a load of boxes in one trip, they fall at the elevator. Derrick helps her pick them up. Tessa is embarrassed since one of the boxes is making noise and moving. Derrick also helps her to her room where he stays. He wants more but is Tessa willing for more?

I enjoyed this story. I liked Tessa and Derrick. I liked Derrick's questioning of what Tessa wanted, not what has always been. I also liked that Tessa decides to put herself first. Derrick helps her with that. There is some humor in this story. I look forward to reading more of this series.… (mehr)

*SPOILER ALERT*
The struggle of infertility is something that many people experience but is rarely addressed in romance novels, so it was lovely to see it addressed here. I felt for Suri over the decline of her marriage with infertility in play, this can be an unfortunate result of the struggle to conceive, and I think she developed a bit of martyrdom regarding being unable to bear children. She was also trying the coward’s way out by calling him right before she boarded her plane and I appreciate Thomas for never faltering. Often it takes men a minute to process or become ok with this new reality, which is fair but would have scared Suri off for sure, so his reaction is certainly a relief.
I will say that I thought it was weird that surrogacy and adoption were not mentioned as options, I understand that maybe surrogacy would be hard to experience for Suri, but an adoption is a viable option. Especially considering that Suri has no problem loving Tilly like her own I feel like adoption would be a good option to consider with how badly she wants to be a mom and Tilly wants a sibling. As happy as it was to hear she got pregnant that is not always the case and people with infertility often experience a higher rate of miscarriages, so it doesn’t seem as HEA as hoped.
I did enjoy Suri and Tilly’s dynamic and the vet aspects, I thought they were well done. I also enjoyed the speed of Suri and Thomas’ relationship, as it took into consideration their previous relationships and the concerns those brought. Overall, a very cute and happy book but should include TW for infertility and parental loss (Tilly’s mom).

This story was super fun and unique. I like that the age difference was the opposite of what we normally see in romance. Sawyer and his dreams for life are so sweet and I completely understand how much he hates fame. Bless his heart for what he did when conflict arose because that scenario normally becomes chaotic and leads to even more conflict. The epilogue is absolutely perfect for this couple and made my heart so happy. I also love the nod to Paws Up for the Dad Bod, it made me smile. Definitely give this one a read and get swept away with Carnival and romance.
