Very sweet story. It was well written throughout and the story definitely hit the prompt of a significant amount of sexual tension the story ended just as it was starting to get good. Lol. I would have liked to see Solo's process of acceptance a bit more since he was pretty much in denial until the last 5 lines. Otherwise, well done.
A college-age gay-for you-romance is difficult to write well. What I liked about this one was the realistic awkwardness between two young men who think they are straight, only to discover they like each other way better than any girls. It is a slow realization, and the story reflects this.
However, while this seems to make sense in theory, I found it difficult to remain interested. Things just "sort of happened" one after the other, but there was n "aha!" moment, nor any excitement.
If you like slow-burn romances and aren't looking for excitement or suspense, you may like this short story.… (mehr)
