She presents seven key attributes of a godly mother gleaned from Proverbs 31.
I purchased this book on Amazon to read with my sisters Randi and Rhonda. All opinions are my own. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Enough Silencing The Lies That Steal Your Confidence by Sharon Jaynes. Sometimes in life you just don't feel strong enough. This book walks you through how to break the lies you tell yourself that steal that confidence. As a woman there are things we say to ourselves that no one else hears and all that does is feed the fear. This book replaces those lies with the truth God wants you to hear him say. A well-written, engaging Christian book focusing on "silencing the inner critic that holds us hostage".
Each chapter tells a story, then, guidance and breaking down the take-aways usually with a Bible quote or three.
There isn't much to say about this book, other than it's excellent and in a realm all to itself. The author knows her topic well, understands how to present it, and explains every concept with applicable, very personal references.
The only thing(s) I can complain about are that there were some spacing issues with the Kindle version I was given access to (for free, by NetGalley and the publisher, in exchange for an honest review), and that I had no idea this was a Christian book until I started reading it. I normally only cover spiritual books, not Christian ones, and nowhere in the copy or blurbs did I see anything mentioned about the Bible or Christianity.
I highly recommend this book for women seeking peace from a Christian perspective, and lead by a well-written authority on the subject.… (mehr)
