In the chapter book it tells the life stories of five African American scientists. It not only addresses their lives but what their famous for. The great thing they discovered or created is told in the chapters of this book. There are illustrations and text facts that give deeper insight into the lives of the people, but it is read like a story. This could be used in a small group, reading a chapter a day. I would not use this as a read aloud but I would make sure to keep in in my class library because it is a wonderful book.… (mehr)
