I can't rant enough about this book. You probably should buy one: in 20 years I may get a residual cheque for 10 cents.
That's right, I wrote 1/23 of this excellent tome. And I used the cash to buy an engagement ring. My wife still wears it. Score!

This book collects 23 short stories written by Star Trek fans themselves. It is the ninth in the series. The book has stories based on each of the major Star Trek TV shows. I found all to be good stories with a few that were really good. This series is no longer in print and I find that is unfortunate, some really good material came out of the run. Not to mention all of the Star Trek fans whose dream came true…to be a published Star Trek author!!!

I heard about these books way too late! I entered three short stories to the Strange New Worlds series, but none got in. They liked them and asked me to send in more. But then they stopped the series! Too bad, I liked reading them and I liked writing for them. I’ll try and find someplace else to get those three stories printed… Anyone interested?

This was pretty much on par with previous volumes of the Strange New Worlds series, the standout story was "The Last Tree on Ferenginar: A Ferengi Fable from the Future" by Mike McDevitt, though the one where Reed and Porthos switched bodies ("Rounding a Corner Already Turned" by Allison Cain) was pretty good too.
