I think some of my students would enjoy this book, which focuses on a girl who is at odds with her father, her town and her small number of friends, yet discovers her relationship with all 3 is more complex than she thought.
The plot twist was a little predictable, and the pace a bit patchy, but this was a generally enjoyable read. I wouldn't use this as a class novel, but would recommend it to certain students (with the caveat of being clear about some of the subject matter beforehand).
