Equipped with her flip-flops, inflatable toy seal in tow, a little girl named Lizzie hits the beach in this picture-book from author/artist Patricia Keeler. When Lou Seal spring a leak however, and slowly deflates, Lizzie must find a way to fix the problem...

With a simple text and colorful, mixed media illustrations, I can see Lizzie and Lou Seal having appeal for younger children, especially those who enjoy spending the day at the beach, playing in the sand, or who are particularly attached to a specific toy. That said, I can't say this one made an especially strong impression upon me, or that I particularly recommend it.… (mehr)
