In this story, the little girl's mother is absent. We do not know why and that is not important. Her father reminds her that her mother is with her all the time. The story is told in rhyme and has wonderful illustrations. She discovers her mom in the golden glow of the afternoon sun, in the feather-soft snow, in the dandelion seeds that float through the air and in the rustling autumn leaves. She feels her mom's presence all around her each day. She is reminded that she is just like her mama when she crinkles her nose. The little girl realizes that her mother may not be with her physically but will always be with her in her heart and thoughts.

What a beautiful tale to share with a child whose mother may be absent on a long trip, tucked away in the hospital for a long stay, or has passed on. The little girl is assured in her heart that no matter where her mother is she is cherished. She knows in her spirit that her mother is indeed watching over her every moment of the day. I highly recommend this heartwarming book.
