Photos and drawings to help in identifying Canadian plants that have been used for food or medicine. Historical background on how they have been traditionally used, with a minimum of sharing of actual hands-on experience. The back cover states that "(t)his book is not intended as a 'how-to' guide for eating wild plants", so consider it as a jumping-off point for further research and exploration. If a how-to guide for eating wild plants is what you desire, I strongly recommend any or all of Samuel Thayer's books.… (mehr)

Yet another lovely production from Lone Pine publishers. Anyone living along or near the Rockies in Canada or the U.S.A. will find this an indispensable tool whilst trekking or camping. A great reference!
