David Klatzow

With thrillers and television so full of forensics these days it makes a change to read a factual account of tis branch of science that has so gripped the popular imagination - and Klatzow being a South African makes it all the more interesting.

Few of the fictional characters have had to deal with the range of official dirty tricks Klatzow encountered, and most of his early cases had a strong political component – The Trojan Horse Massacre, The Cradock Four, The Gugulethu Seven, The Webster, Mxenge, Goniwe and Kriel murders – even the Helderberg disaster.

Of current interest are his views on the Inge Lotz murder – Fred van der Vywer is suing the state – and the Brett Kebble killing of which Glen Agliotti has just been acquitted. Easy reading and fascinating subject matter make this a grand book.… (mehr)
