This was a slow, sinister story about a family of strangers arriving at a young couple's home. The husband claims to have grown up there and wants to show his wife and two young children his old, family home. Once they enter the house, strange things begin to happen. The main character is not sure if she is imagining what is happening or it is real. The tension seems to build as the story continues. You are left wondering what exactly this man is... is he some sort of parasite, malevolent entity and what is the reason behind this abduction of the couples lives. Don’t Open the Door To Strangers And Never Let Them In ! That is the biggest lesson to be learned here, yes your mother was right. Holy terror thrill ride, this story had me guessing till the end and beyond. I even struggled with reality, paranormal, or what ? I’m still not sure, it ended with a lot of unanswered questions. I hated that and yet I loved it. Honestly I keep going over little details trying to find my answers. I see that it is being made into a movie. I can see that, it could be a great movie. If you enjoy mystery, horror, terror and unresolved endings this would work for you. I think the author did a fabulous job and look forward to reading more from him. How about a book 2 for those of us that can’t let it go ? LOL… (mehr)
