Not just another book on keeping a journal or keeping notes on scripture. I bought this book in April, 2009 and it is always close by, it is one of my favorite books to read on journals and life. I would like to point out a chapter or two that stand out, however, I've read this book cover to cover at least 3 times finding something new to think about with each reading. NCLA Review - This slim volume is part of Augsburg Book's 40-Day Journey series. It is designed to introduce readers to a spiritual guide who has the wisdom and experience to lead you on your own spiritual journey. Each day's journey includes a reading, a brief scripture passage, questions to ponder, suggestions for personal journaling, Psalm passage, guidance in prayer and a prayer for the day. Bonhoeffer is considered one of the 20th century's great theologians. A personal spiritual journey may start at any time, but Lent would seem like an appropriate time to explore and reflect on your faith. An excellent book choice to provide in any church library. Suggested further readings are also included as well as sources. Rating: 4—BS… (mehr)
