Robert Kramer

Nel 1984, a pochi passi dall'ospedale psichiatrico del Marchese de Sade, a Charenton, Thomas Harlan (il figlio di Veit Harlan) gira Wundkanal, un filminterrogatorio con protagonista Alfred Filbert, l'ex vicecomandante delle SS naziste in persona, ormai ottantenne. Il criminale che ha inventato il "suicidio su ordinazione" è a sua volta "sequestrato" e interrogato: da un gruppo di terroristi nella finzione del film, dalla troupe stessa nella realtà del set. Affrontando un'esperienza estrema, Robert Kramer realizza nel medesimo set un secondo film, Unser Nazi, un'invasione deflagrante dal fuori campo di straordinaria forza e drammaticità, la messa in scena dei conflitti e delle contraddizioni che nel primo restavano rimosse o indicibili: non un "film sul film", ma il disvelamento crudele (e che non risparmia nessuno) su ciò che implicano il potere e il diritto di giudicare.

Adorable. A simple story of traveling on a train. As a railroadman's daughter, I have memories that date back this far, and I revel in reliving those memories. These board book pages show different types of cars, some of which no longer exist, and a water tower, a round table, and so many other sights and objects from my childhood. The pictures of the workmen - and they are all men - are typical of the age: white men in the engine, and black men as porters and stevedores. Unfortunate, but accurate.
