Vignette after vignette of well-animated, somber, violent dinosaur encounters with Werner Herzog occasionally intoning in a Herzogian way. It is to be enjoyed as art rather than education; but it is very enjoyable. I read a review that claimed that the stories do not anthropomorphize; I entirely disagree. That old Protoceratops that defended the juvenile but then did not join the herd in "Herd Instinct" is a tough old cowboy from an old western movie.
