This is a very short story (there are two excerpts for other books included at the end) and it’s more like a prequel to the author’s upcoming BDSM series.
Lindsey is interested in the BDSM lifestyle but her boyfriend, Trent, isn’t. To get it out of her system, she goes to a club to spend a few hours with a Dom and experience mind-blowing pain/sex. Trent loves her and approves because he knows she needs this at least once in her life.
This is a really hot story and I sooooo want to read more about these three characters. The twist at the end left me grinning like a fool.
I like the writing style and I will definitely check out more books by the author.

Nightlord Lover is story set in the town of New Hope. But it's not an ordinary town, oh no! It's a town of vampires, marked, non-marked crimson swans and slaves.
Larissa has decided to open a high class lingerie store in the small town of New Hope. She sees it as a fresh start after a difficult time with her family. The day before she opens the store she meets Garrick for the first time and he seems all set in helping her and making her life easier. After showing her around town, Garrick and Larissa return to her store only to find it broken into. Garrick springs into action and help her set the store to rites along with the help of Ramon and her new assistant Jordan.
Suddenly Larissa is having day dreams and fantasies of her being with Garrick and Ramon and it almost seems real. Then after a particular tough day, Larissa is told information about the town that has been kept from her and now she realizes things will never be the same again.
I had high hopes for this book and I am sad to say it didn't meet my expectations. Don't get me wrong the sex scenes were amazing, but I actually found the plot slow, choppy and overloaded with information. Ultimately I didn't enjoy it as much as I had hoped.
So I give this book 6 out of 10.

Wow! This story is so much fun and informative too.

Lauren is trying to finish up her master's degree in Archaeology after going through a divorce. She applies for a field program at Boston University. This takes her to Tikal, Guatemala, to the ancient Mayan Ruins. Dr. Deven Chandler is in charge of the excavation on this trip. He is a very handsome man and she really needs to not think about having any relationships. Her last one cost her dearly. She starts hearing voices in tombs, having dreams that tell a story and seeing a ghost. What more can happen to her in this country?

Deven Chandler is a very analytical person. He is a "have to see it to believe it" type of person. That is why he loves being an Archaeologist. It is hands on, solid proof of an ancient civilization. His main goal is to prove his theory on why the Mayan people just basically vanished. He didn't plan on having any relationships again for quite awhile. His last one proved that traveling all the time is bad on relationships. Then he picks Lauren up at the airport and all of that goes out the window. Even though he knows he shouldn't start anything with a student, she is an adult after all.

This story has, a ghost, visions, an ex-fiance, two hyperactive college boys, a hot professor, sacrifices, tomb raiders with big guns and so much more.

There is a mystery going on here and it isn't just what happened to Mayan's.
