Lots of examples of mitred squares and other modular knitting, lots of designs showing how to use handpainted yarns to best advantage. Some of the patterns seem to show aesthetic tastes seriously stuck in the 1970s or even the 60s... yes, those infamous knitted trousers totally have a hippie vibe and so does the purple maxiskirt!... but even those show attractive use of colours, and inspire, even when they don't invite emulation.

Oh. My. Goodness. Somebody made the pants, I saw on Ravelry. Multiple somebodies. They are even sillier than the subdued denim blues in the book. I have to go and do some laughing. And perhaps rolling on the floor.… (mehr)
