Über den Autor
Charles Lane is a Washington Post editorial board member and op-ed columnist. A finalist for the 2009 Pulitzer Prize in editorial writing, he was the Post's Supreme Court correspondent prior to joining the editorial board. As editor of the New Republic, he took action against the journalistic fraud mehr anzeigen of Stephen Glass, events that were recounted in the 2003 film Shattered Glass. Freedom’s detective led me to expect a heroic and inspiring man. This guy was, instead, someone who got things done, usually with an eye to advancing his own interests. That’s what most people do , I imagine, and I guess I probably wouldn’t have read it if it had been titled, bit of a jerk.
