Some of the best pickles you'll ever taste. And very helpful for canning vegetables.
An anthology taken from after WWII up to the mid '70's of articles, letters,and poetry that appeared in Farm Journal. Contributed mostly by American farm wives, the various articles are a commentary, not just on farm life, but on life in general during this period. Not a book I would read again but not a waste of time either. It made me remember growing up during this period; visits to my grandparents; picking beans,corn,cucumbers, and tomatoes in the early morning; any number of things I hadn't thought about in years.… (mehr)
