Great textbook, fascinating. I would recommend it to anyone curious about the history of this subject. Very well written and extensive.

Its only weak point is in its formatting. Considering it is a textbook and you are expected to study from it: it could really use learning aids like pictures and diagrams, bullet point summaries, concept checking questions etc.
