The Kid with Big, Big Ideas von Britney Winn Lee
The book was fine in concept, and I liked the story quite a bit. Unfortunately, the scanning of the rhymes was egregiously inconsistent, which was so distracting I had trouble getting through the book. I just couldn't read this out loud because of the rhythm issues, which is very unfortunate.
A boy shows all of his feelings, but is embarrassed so he tries to hide them. In the end he figures it is better to let the feelings out.

The boy has huge feelings and feels he has hidden them in order to not be made fun of. He notices a classmate who may have big feelings like him.
A boy struggles with dealing with his emotions, since they are so big and expressive. After learning the hard way that you can't push your feelings aside, he finds that he can express himself through art and celebrate his emotions.
