this is a catalogue from a special exhibition at the Rockefeller Museum in Jerusalem featuring archeological treasures unearthed over the years from Galilee man (a skull about 350,000-250,000 years old ) to stone heads of crusader knights. A nice book with some lovely illustrations and an authoritative and interesting text. But I'm now ifn the position of having to downsize my library and this book is one of the casualties. Pity but I won't be re-reading it. I give it four stars.
