This was a merging of a second chance and fake fiance. That seemed a bit odd to me at first but was willing to see how this author would go about managing it, considering that if it had been me and someone had broken my heart then I wouldn't be willing to jump in and help out by pretending.
It actually wasn't that bad. Where I struggled was in the connection and chemistry between Jolene and Kane. For some reason, they just didn't click with me. It might have just been me, who knows.

That being said, it was interesting and the story did keep me reading until the end. This was the first time reading this author and she is now on my watch list.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Quick easy read!! Spencer and April had history and major chemistry. They were friends for so long and then a major case of crossed wires separated them for years. In glad they made their way back to each other!! Great quick read with lots of romance and steaminess!!

This is my first book by this author. This book did not overwhelm me. It was a run of the mill college romance. I enjoyed it, it was entertaining, but I didn't feel gripped by the story or the characters. There was some lull here and there, where I just skimmed, there was conflict that was just brushed aside when the author could have used that and made the book a little more meatier. The premise was there, it had me hooked, I just wish there was a little more to it. Told entirely in Addison's POV.… (mehr)

Someday is a beautiful story of starting a new life while finding light in the darkness.

This novel was about a woman who experienced three bad lucks in just one whole day. Losing a job, getting cheated by her boyfriend and best friend, and finding out that her father might not be her real father was the reason why she set foot on a place called Canyon Bay. It was where she would start anew, and she would meet people there that will try to break the wall she builds on her heart.

I like how simple the story was. Even if the scenes were mostly found on the other stories, this didn’t make it boring. Instead, it was the characters and the lessons I’ve learned that made this book lovely to read. I like how it taught me that forgiving those who failed and hurt us could set us free from pain and how it will open the door to happiness we’ve been looking for. Bad memories don’t mean that we should stop there and let the sadness eat us. Instead, it’s just a signal that we should start looking for much better and deserving things or people in our life.

The main character, named Chloe was a brave woman. She was close to breaking apart, but I’m glad it never happened. She decided to find a new life which most people might not do and will just continue to live miserably or worst to commit suicide. She was lucky to be able to find nice people who are willing to help her on the Canyon Bay. She slowly opens herself to them, and that’s a great choice because it also let her move on from the past and forgive those who had hurt her.

The other character was named Seth. He was sweet, caring, and of course, handsome. He was the typical guy most women would love to meet and to have as their partner in life. He was not the perfect guy as he also has a dark past, but with Chloe, he was able to move on from it, and I just love their romantic pull on this book.

My favorite character in this book was Nan. She was the best grandmother you would love to have. She reminds me of my Nanay, my mom’s mother. Like my grandmother, Nan was thoughtful and affectionate. She did things just to make sure Seth wouldn’t feel alone during those dark times of his.

I don’t think I have anything to dislike in this book. I like the book cover, the story, the characters, and even how it was written. It might not be the best, but it is simply an amazing novel for me.

I am recommending this book to everyone, especially to those who still haven’t forgiven the people who’ve hurt them before.

Disclaimer: I received an advance reader copy of this book from the author.
