Judy Lunsford

This book is about a young girl that finds a trunk in her grandmother's attic. Being curious like any little girl would be, she opened it, and proceeded to try on a dress. Then something magical happens. I won't say too much more about the plot as I don't want to spoil it for any future readers.
As the mother of a young girl, I tend to check out books geared to this age range ( I would say from 7-10 year old independent readers, or even a bit younger to read with a parent/caregiver. I generally don't read the whole book. I tend to skim it very quickly just to see if I feel that it it is appropriate to purchase for my daughter or as a gift for another young girl.
I did not skim this one! I read this book in about an hour. I did not put it down until I finished it. I really enjoyed it. I will definitely be sharing it with my daughter, and more than likely purchase it as a gift for a couple other young girls I know.
This book is the first in a series(The Trunk of Alexia). I look forward to reading the rest of the series!… (mehr)
