As soon as you start reading this book, you will get swept away into the story and the characters. There is a whole cast of characters. I enjoyed getting to know them all. None felt like side characters but all main characters.

Having engaging characters and a rich storyline really helps bring the story to life. Because I was so connected to the characters, I found myself just reading many chapters at a time without stopping.

Princess Deyanira aka Dey aka Death Maiden. She is one tough assassin. You don't want to cross her. It is a miracle that her husband, Orin was not killed after tricking her into marrying him. The witty banter between them was entertaining. Their banter turned into angst as well that had their chemistry heating up.
