Albertus Magnus (1206–1280)
Autor von On Union with God
Über den Autor
Albertus Magnus, or Albert the Great, was a Dominican scholar who was born in Lauingen, near Ulm, Germany, in 1206. He is noted as the teacher of Thomas Aquinas. He took roughly the same view of Aristotelian philosophy as his student. His interests, however, extended in other directions. His mehr anzeigen reputation is based less on his philosophy than on his work as a naturalist and an encyclopedic scholar determined to review the whole realm of learning on whatever topic he undertakes. His work is that of a great scholar who helped make the Aristotelian and Arabic traditions available in the West. (Bowker Author Biography) weniger anzeigen
