Jack Maloney

I enjoyed reading this book about Jack and his wife Barbara and their move to the Scottish Highland for two years. They took life by the horns, sold their house and moved to the Highlands, near the Scottish Summer Islands after a brief vacation there. In their book, they not only describe the people and the culture, but Barbara provides an artist rendition of events that occurred during their stay.
Reading this book brought me to a state of relaxation almost immediately. The way it is written brings you into the homes and lives of the people living in this harsh environment and the closeness they develop amongst themselves. I would recommend it to anyone interested in the daily lives of those that live in the Highlands or people who may want to travel to Scotland.… (mehr)
