Jane Manaster

This book covers everything about horned lizards, including a large section on folklore and history. There are good ilustrations of horned lizards in different behaviors, even a section on conseervation. Perhaps the book is lightweight in its lack of contrasting the different species.

This is a great book. The author covers distribution, history, the many varieties, pecan harvesting industry, predators, even hutrition and recipes. Downside would be a lack of an index and the lack of any mention of wood products such as furniture and pecan wood chips used by high end BBQ chefs.
