I won this in a GOODREADS giveaway.
I read this book with an open mind and did enjoy the first few chapters. Who is to say whether the author actually heard from God? Not me.
The things that the author quoted God as saying did conflict with my Christian beliefs - but I like how it expanded my thinking to consider other ideas and other faiths.
I did not like the author's long winded questions - clearly an intellectual. I felt that if someone were really talking to God, why not ask the questions everyone wants to hear the answer to, rather than very specific questions about philosophers and religion. Just my opinion.… (mehr)

Author and philosopher Martin explores the contradictions between belief, facts, and heresy in imaginary conversations with a god. The text is a battle between prima facie evidence and investigation between what distinguishes justified belief from opinion. No answers, just a lot of questions.
