When I'm sick, I break into the books I've been meaning to read for a while. I liked this enough I'll look for the sequel. If I ever STOP COUGHING long enough to leave the house again. Ugh.
At the start of this I read going from the Decepticons to the Autobots as going from "evil" to "good"; now I see less black and white and recognize it as a child of the revolution trying to make his own way in the world after the revolution fails. I thank Drift for that.

Does it break dramatically from the Furman run? Yup.
Are there continuity errors? Yup.
Is it poor? Not at all.
In fact, it might still be the only IDW series with heavy use of human characters that's actually engrossing. The coda especially is simply lights out, especially the Kup story by Nick Roche.
It's been a long time since I first read All Hail Megatron and it just leaves me wondering: what if only Michael Bay had let the IDW braintrust write him a coherent script?… (mehr)
