Reminded me a lot of e.g. Romancing the Stone. Nice to see a different setting (South America) from the regular romantic suspense novels. Solid plot, believable romance.
What I also liked about the book is that Angel is a hired killer, nothing more nothing less. It's not romanticized, he isn't cold-hearted, he isn't a 'tortured' hero, and he still manages to be a hero.
