Supernaturals, witches and demons always make for a good story and this has several different species. It not as dark and heavy as some other books in this genre and that can be a plus. The story line moves at a fast pace and sets up for a good series. It has several different characters that will be interesting getting to know. I felt that the final chapters were told a bit out of order and made it confusing. This author is new to me but I look forward to trying some of her other stories.

Spoilers* What a fun twist on 2 of our favorite mythical characters. This book was like reading all of the best Hallmark movies rolled into one. The best part is that the story is not overly cheesy which makes the mythical characters seem real. The entire diner scene in the beginning with all of our beloved main characters letdowns leading to the takeover of cupid was absolutely hysterical. Bonnie and Jackie are such a fun duo, I want to have more adventures with them. Some of the descriptions were so captivating that I found myself wanting a bowl of chicken noodle soup (as boring and bland as that may sound), but the way the author described it, made me want it! I became so engrossed by our cast of characters and who will be the 3rd couple to fall in love and will our heroine find love I completely forgot about the original cupid (glad he's ok).… (mehr)

After accidentally putting cupid out of commission, our heroin must take over his job at a marriage retreat and bless three couples with true love. Stumbling along in her new role, she finds that love has a habit of happening by itself and lots of time problems have a habit of sorting themselves out too.
A lovely light read; so snuggle up with your book and see you at the finish.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

I didn't like this book very much. It is over written and under edited. It's narrated by a spirit who is supposed to be Italian-American and even though it is narrating in English, it lards the text with Italian. A bit of this would perhaps be colorful but the spirit uses so much a glossary is included as a preface. If you need a glossary it's too much. Also there is a dedication. And an epigraph. All before we start the story. Then there is the evil Satyr. As we all know, Satyrs are mischievous not evil and are generally associated with sexuality. Of course, a fictional evil demon can have any shape, but this creature is named a Satyr and it spends the chapter torturing a dead soul to torment a sleeping undertaker. Nah.

I received a review copy of this book through NetGalley.com.
