In what is close to an ode to “country boys”, this short piece of erotica centers around what happens when a man who has returned for a friend’s wedding runs into an old buddy. The result is more than unexpected for both parties and just goes to show that assumptions are just that and have nothing to do with the truth sometimes.

Andrew is the one wearing a kilt to honor the Scottish heritage of the groom and his own vague connection to Scotland via far-removed ancestors. This is more than unusual in Texas, but when he runs into an old buddy who suddenly shows an interest, all bets are off. Andrew has been living in NYC and is used to these kinds of encounters there, but would have never expected to find a like-minded man in Texas. At least they get to have some fun while the rest of the group is entertained by female strippers.

If you like brief encounters, if “almost anonymous” sex is your thing, and if you’re looking for a hot erotic read, then you might like this short story.

A great anthology with some very erotic stories about men in kilts. There are a few historicals as well as contemporary tales, and most have a highly erotic content. My favorite was 'Sir WW', an interesting take on a Scottish knight of Hollywood movie fame.

My individual story reviews can be found with each book.

A cute story, this is a variation on the Nerd & Jock theme I am very much a fan of. With Graham, the eighteen-year-old nerd, telling the story of how they first met, how they became rivals since Henry is as clever as Graham and gets great grades, and how he is now despairing at the short amount of time left before graduation for them to really bond, I was curious as to what would happen from the very first page. Graham’s fears of losing Henry for more than a summer, and this time potentially for good, is very well described and made the situation real. I ended up worrying with Graham. As they sneak off to one of their secret encounters (during class time, no less), it becomes apparent exactly what they have been getting up to. I was left with no doubt that their final two weeks of boarding school would be spent in much the same way.

If you like first times set in a boarding school environment, if a somewhat illicit first time in a dusty storage room sounds like fun, and if you’re looking for a read that is full of emotional tension and wicked physical activity, then you will probably like this short story.
