Human Choices (Guardians of the Leythe, #2) von Jaye McKenna
Nice follow up to book one. I had to feel sorry for Khy and all that he was put thru. Jaedin did what he could to help and understand but the leythe was just beyond him. It was good to see Tor and Ash again fulfilling their promise. Good, smooth read.
Absolutely beautiful story. I don't run across these gems very often but when I do I'm touched by them. Ash and Tor were both flawed but the way that they completed each other was wonderful. A totally character driven book that could have taken place anywhere. Smooth, easy, emotional. It can be read as a solo or as part of the series as it was written.
This was a surprisingly good start to an interesting new series about dragon shifters!
I knew Jaire’s book was going to be amazing! Shadowspire is easily my favorite out of the three I’ve read so far.
I really liked the fact that even though Jaire and Vayne’s relationship was a big part of the story, the author took her time with these two, and did some more worldbuilding in the meantime. The main plot is moving forward nicely, too. Some things were resolved far too easily — I see a pattern here — but I don’t mind that sometimes. And I’m not reading this for the suspense, anyway.… (mehr)
