Book is the perfect book to help introduce the joy of reading & listening to books.
As I read through this lovely picture book(in order to enjoy the illustrations)I thought how beautiful these are. Then I really started to appreciate the charm of the story.
This a great book to encourage any reluctant reader you know away from modern distractions and toward the magic of stories.

This book dives into children's imagination by using a delicious sweet that most kids enjoy. The book even describes some of the different types of donuts.
This is a very sweet story about being average. Unicorn is magical, beautiful, and extraordinary; horse is brown, average, and ordinary. Horse spends most of the book lamenting the fact that he has to share a pen with Unicorn who seems to outshine Horse in every way. The art is adorable as Hollie Megert captures Horse’s jealousy and Unicorn’s obliviousness in obvious but hilarious ways that children and adults will enjoy. The writing is witty and heartfelt, communicating that being oneself, even if one is ordinary, is enough to be fulfilled in life.… (mehr)

Premise/plot: Truck-themed board book about unconditional love written in rhyme.
My thoughts: What you see is what you get. If you are tired of animals STEALING the show when it comes to showcasing unconditional love--familial unconditional love, then this is the book for you. Since trucks and construction vehicles are ever-popular with little ones, it's a good match, in my opinion. Why not talking trucks instead of talking bunnies?
