½Great memoir. Ben reminds me of Brandon
I loved this story! The true events of a father who moved his family to bring his son close to the place where he seemed to come out of his shell. Disney! Ben, who was diagnosed with autism, always enjoyed his Disney movies and after a miraculous visit to the theme parks his parents toyed with the idea of moving. This book was a joy to read as I have had experience working with a couple children that were so very similar to Ben. The love of Disney movies and the rewatching of specific parts especially. I just loved this book and would recommend it to anyone who has been touched by Autism...or Disney!… (mehr)
Memoire about and man and his (ex) wife's efforts to make their autistic son's life connect with something to enrich his life after they discover his delight upon a visit to Disney World in Florida.
They both uproot their lives and move there and see to many little steps he takes in his development. This is not a completely "happy ever after" book, but it is inspiring to see the progress that these parents made because of their love for their child.
