La Toile d'araignée (1955) von Vincente Minnelli
Dans une clinique psychiatrique, une succession de drames causé par un mauvais choix de rideaux. Minnelli a un sens du drame qui n'élimine pas un certain humour.
2023 movie #116. 1958. Jane (Dee) visits her father Jim (Harrison) in England during debutante season and her stepmother (Kendall) has her going to all the balls. Harrison and Kendall (his actual wife) are just marvelous in this old-fashioned farce. Very funny.

There's some good music, and some great dancing, but surprisingly little of either. I understand Lena Horne's solo number and Louis Armstrong's only number were both cut from the movie. Meanwhile, the dialog is written in exactly the style you'd expect from a 1943 Hollywood movie with an all-black cast.

Starring a young Elizabeth Taylor, this is a very enjoyable, sometimes moving film.
