Norio Mitsuoka (1917–2010)

Originally from Seattle, Norio moved to West Los Angeles shortly after World War II to raise his family, and in 1961, moved to Westminster, Calif. He worked for over 30 years at Northrop Aircraft at Hawthorne, Anaheim, El Segundo, and Palos Verdes. Following the passing of his first wife, Yoshiko, in 1989, he returned to the Seattle area and remarried. He authored and published “Nisei Odyssey, the Camp Years,” a collection of stories he wrote of his experience during the internment.
