This book tells the story of Will, a young teenager asked to babysit a neighbor's little girl who will nap through the next two hours. Little does Will know that the child, Lily, will NOT be sleeping through the entire babysitting job. Once Lily wakes up, she gets into all sorts of trouble and does naughty things that Will is just not capable of handling on his own. He ends up calling in his friend, Seth, who helps get Lily cleaned up and under control before her mother arrives back home. Will discovers that being responsible and knowledgeable is a huge part of babysitting and discovers thiat this job was not the easy money he thought it was going to be! Will is a likable character who simply wants to earn some extra money for items that he can use with his bike. Lily is a spoiled and naughty little girl who does mean things to intentionally get Will in trouble. Both characters are well-written and their relationship is established at the very beginning of the book. The plot thickens when Lily locks herself in the bathroom and Will panics because he doesn't know what to do. The plot and characters help to draw in the reader and the pace of the book is perfect for the development of a plan to solve the problem. Will's emotions are fitting for the things he is experiencing and the setting, (Lily's house), is the perfect backdrop for all of her shenanigans becuase she knows all the best ways to get into mischief.
