What a lovely book! Ruth Mott is famous for her appearances in the Victorian Garden series (available on DVD) and, when I heard she had written a book of her favourite recipes, I had to find a copy.

The recipes are easy to follow, Ruth also gives tips on how to further save time/effort when necessary. I recognised a number of recipes from my childhood, I'm sure there are many familiar dishes to the majority of readers, but that are perhaps not 'fashionable' nowadays.

If you enjoyed the Victorian Kitchen series, then you will definitely like this book.
