The odd angry shot von William Nagle
A book that is better remembered as a film than as a novel. The film was great but I found the book even better. The film is very true to the novel. A short novel, and while no great work of literature, it conveys the life of an infantryman in Vietnam in great detail without the usual Hollywood exaggeration or any thick political commentary.
