A Kids Book About Disability von Kristine Napper
This powerful picture book teaches readers about disabilities in a kid friendly way. I would recommend this book to K-2nd grade to learn about disabilities in a way they can understand due to the clear and simple words. No big words kids would be confused about in this book.
Picture-like book about informing children on the topic of disabilities. Author speaks from her point of view a lot as a person in a wheelchair. She explains to kids what a disability is, how she lives with it, what not to say to people!
This book was very informative and age appropriate while touching on hard subjects. For some reason this book wasn't really my favorite! As a person with multiple disabilities, I'm not really sure why, I can't put my finger on it. But, I definitely would not mind having it in my classroom.
