Figures from Arthurian legend invade from a parallel universe, and recognize the Doctor as Merlin.
Good for late 80's Doctor Who. Reasonably well-written, but the music and visuals are awful. Like Aaronovitch's other story ("Remembrance of the Daleks"), it has a lot that's probably significantly more fun for a fan than for a casual viewer.

The Cybermen... don't actually attack anything, but they're around, and the Doctor... convinces someone to kill herself.
Terribly written crap - and this one was written by the show's script editor, so it strikes me as pretty remarkable that anything watchable came out of this era at all. The only redeeming quality is a handful of references to older stories, which aren't geeky fun like they are in "Remembrance of the Daleks" or "Battlefield," but instead serve to keep in perspective just how bad this story is relative to older ones.… (mehr)
