I don't usually read graphic books and this one reminds me why. Unless you are really into gruesome, I'd find another book. This one was in the TBR pile for several years and came to me via Bookfunnel. This voluntary review is my own opinion.

Ichabod Jones is my first (maybe second) effort at reading a graphic novel. It’s gory, startling (to a newbie like me), and oddly captivating. Ichabod’s hearing a voice, a monster’s trying to kill him, his supposed saviors fail and he can’t wake up. Then he throws “the Book” at his foe. But what has he forgotten and will he remember? And what is real?

Disclosure: I still prefer word-books, but graphic novels might not be as hard to read as I’d imagined.

I loved this book from the second I read the first line. The struggle of this young boys life seemed never ending and making unlikely friends and a journey into the unknown was amazing.

The author bio mentions ‘weird books for weird people’. I guess this fits. It’s an okay read, but it doesn’t make me want to read more by him.
