Ian Norbury

This book is extremely well written and well illustrated. The b&w photographs are crisp and given meaningful descriptions. The order of the lessons makes sense. And most importantly, Norbury gives the reader confidence that they can eventually accomplish such woodcarvings, themselves. But I emphasize eventually. I am setting the book aside after giving a thorough reading through the first lesson. Because I am years away from having skills at the level required to carve a realistic human figure. But when I'm ready, this book will be there.… (mehr)
