Mado Nozaki

This novel is set 200 years in the future, when humanity is free to spend its time enjoying life while all the work required to sustain this lifestyle is done by robots controlled by a network of artificial intelligence called Titan. Beneath the surface, however, not all is going well, with the productivity of one of the nodes of the network inexplicably falling. An amateur psychologist is called to the rescue to try and identify the issue that looks to be with the personality of the AI itself...

The concept is interesting, but sadly the story is rather shallow with almost comically caricatural characters. Convincing at first, the plot quickly devolves into less and less believable events. I realized after the fact that this is considered a "light novel", a type of manga-like literature aimed at a teenage audience, who may be better able to appreciate this story than I did.… (mehr)
