Conrad loves his wife and medicine. Conrad has been so focused on his medicine that he didn't notice what was happening in his marriage. Conrad notices a strange scent on his wife that is much like sex but he believes his wife to be faithful. Conrad exhibits magic powers but never used them before. How important will medicine continue to be for Conrad? Will Conrad catch his wife cheating? Will Conrad ever use his magic? Your answers await you in Road to Hell.

This power packed novella hits the ground running and doesn't stop either. I liked how the story was laid out. I thought the characters were creative and interesting too. What would the road to hell be for you? Only you can answer that by reading this novella.… (mehr)

The Pendant by Stephen C. Ormsby is quite simply the worst book I’ve ever read. If you like reading – in gruesome detail – about people being tortured and eaten alive, then this is the book for you.
Long ago, the pendant in the title was split in two. Through the centuries, the two half pendants keep ending up at antique shows and garage sales where they seem to broadcasting a kind of irresistible attraction. Once the unwary buyer succumbs to the compulsion and puts the necklace around his/her neck, a horrible death is soon to follow.
Varnok, a uber-evil demon who has escaped from Hell, is on a mission to find his beloved. The pendant is supposed to locate her. When he finds her, he’ll torture her until she joins him in Hell once again. He frequently summons his servant, Isaac, an Igor type, demanding he find her. Isaac can’t seem to recognize Varnok’s beloved, which means he gets to dismember and eat a lot of defenseless women.
The Pendant is full of mistakes. Huge, glaring, obvious mistakes! When I read something this full of errors, I have to wonder about the competence of the publisher, who should have at least one proofreader on staff. In my opinion, any author worth his salt should be proofreading his own material – at the very least, using spellcheck!
Don’t waste your money on The Pendant. I can’t recommend this book for anyone.

The story line was intriguing and an interesting idea. I really looked forward to reading it. Unfortunately, it did not live up to its potential. It was slow paced, sometimes confusing, and the bad spelling and grammar made it even more difficult to read. However, perhaps with a good re-edit. It could make a good read
